Hard drive on RAS server died, so I replaced it. I installed NT with RAS etc. 3 Laptops could dial in before and get files and internet access (via the company connection). Now they can dial in and get a connection but not the internet. They can Ping any IP within our LAN but not the router (or outside). I think it's probably a routing issue, but I can't find the answer.
The LAN has static IP addresses, and I have reserved 6 for RAS (we have 4 modems on a Digi box), which are given out statically. I have tried letting the laptops use their own IP addresses (which RAS has a check box to allow them to do), but that doesn't work either. If I run WINIPCFG I get a valid IP, but the Gateway says the same as the IP address instead of the router address or the NIC of the RAS server. Also it says 255.255.255.255 as the DHCP address, but neither the Domain or the RAS service is running DHCP.
Any ideas would be greatfully received.
