Here's one for you. A member of our staff has a Win2K workstation at work(LAN) and another one at home(NT)with Nortel's Extranet VPN client installed. She changed her password at work and is now unable to logon to the same domain at home after connecting with VPN. She tried to logon to the domain at home with cached credentials but it only accepted the old password. After logging on to VPN we tried to change the password but was unable to. We also logged on with her old password with the local account and was able to change it but also ran into problems trying to logon the domain. What is the workaround for her if any? Thanks.

I have a similar problem...
Users with laptops that have logged onto the LAN can log on to the domain and run the login script no problemo...

When someone from their desktop at home (never logged into the LAN) they cannot log on to the domain. They are succesfully connected to the Nortel Extranet, and can ping all computers on the network, and see thier shares, even connect to them after providing a username/password. Like I said while connected to the switch I can even add their computers to the domain (with the admin username and password). However when the try to login to the domain with they get "no domain server available".
