NT Backup

Hi all,

I have to backup on a win2000 server with wit NTBackup on a LTO attached drive.
My problem:
If I define the job it asks me for a tape ( new or a used one)and if the correct tape is not in the drive the backup job do not start. I can only scroll down to search the tape.
I want to use the tape I want and append or overwrite it as I like.....
How can do so ?

look into direction of getting a differnetn software.
inexpensive solution is offered by Retrospect or if you like more robust appliciton look into Backup Exec.
