When I audit my users I keep getting this event log - NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON. Can someone please tell me what is logging on and why?

I understand that this occurs when a program or system logs on using the system account.

But how do I find out what is logging on and for what reason?

You could look at the services that autostart also try running msconfig and look at what launches at start up.
It could be many things but the most obvious would be your AV.
