My isp has changed from nameserver, and now I have the following problem.
When I do a nslookup and then after the prompt I type "ls -d mydomain.ext" usally it listed all records that are configured for my domain. Now I get about 300 lines saying "(root). 0" and then nslookup stops.
when I do "nslookup mydomain.ext" it says "Non-autoritative answer" the name of my domain and the ip adres that my points to.
What do I have to do to list all my records again ?
Is there maybe another tool for this ?

Thanks,
Gerrit

your "new" name server could be configured to block unauthorized zone transfer requests, which is essentially what you're doing by asking for an "all records" list.
The "non-authoritative" answer is no big deal. That's simply a name servers way of saying "I have this info in my cache, so I'm not going to bother asking the authoritative server for this info again..."

Thanks,
that will proberbly be the case. So what should I do next?
Is there a tool that still can list all records or must I ask my provider to autorize me to do zone transfer requests?

if they locked it down, there's no tool. You need to ask them to allow zone transfers to a machine on your network.
