nslookup configuration on windows 2003

Does anyone know if nslookup can have its own cofiguration on windows? We have an application making the same system call that nslookup does and it is returning different information.

Trying to determine if nslookup is configured differently and causind the problem.

Check your DNS settings, it may be contacting a different server. Also, check to see if there are any static listings in the HOSTS file. Also, that application may be using WINS rather than DNS, so check your WINS settings and LMHOSTS file.
