Hello all,

I am having an issue with a program that uses Word as its editor. It uses a custom template. My problem is this, When I run the program and use word to create/edit docs for that program, then shut down the program, several of the functions of the custom template are still active. For example... when viewing (in word) tools - options, on the View tab, in the upper right corner, the field codes box is checked. Also, on the Print tab under the Include with Document heading the box is checked next to Field Codes as well. In other words... it seems as though the program that uses word doesn't return it to its previous state. Any Ideas? Getting assistance from the manufacturer of the software is like trying to dry yourself while in the shower.

Thanks in advance to all who read and to all who reply.

Care to divulge the name of the program in question?

The program in question is called Aim for Windows 4.1 by Landata... it is a software used by Title Companies.

Seecke:

Sorry. They did not create the software properly. Anyone worth their salt would, in the VBA code they're using, capture the current user's settings and save them, and then restore them upon closing of the template they've provided.
