Ok I have my database up and running, a shortcut to my welcome page,a nice splash screen, login screen, switchboard, form, querys, reports, ect....How do I keep from having Access open in the background, you know make it a stand alone?

Not possible.

The tip that Hymn gives you will make it less obvious that it's in access. And there are some other things you can do (like replace the splash page with a bmp of the same name as your mdb, and in the same directory). And you can make a runtime version of your database that will allow it to run w/o the user having a license for Access.

But it will always be an Access database.
