Hello all,

I have a server with a address that is 172.31.0.100 and the rest of the network is sitting on 172.16.100.100. This was setup a while ago and now it cannot be seen when logging in from the outside, but when logging in at the school it not only sees that server but all the other servers. Help!!!

School is here tomorrow and I need to have it see the other servers due to our lunch program. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this would be great.

Thanks for any help possible

What is the subnet mask being used on the server, and what is the subnetmask of the 172.16.100.100 subnet?

What is the default gateway set to on the netware server?

I remember the good ol' days in Idaho when we didn't start school till after Labor Day. And then a month later we got out for 2 weeks for Spud harvest. Those were the days. I know that doesn't help your problem, but I had to reminisce. :)

I have a question about your network...Do you just have the one network at the school in Shelley, or are you tied into other schools in the district? Do you have a network diagram of your whole network and how it's configured? That should help figure out how everything is tied together .. And then you should be able to see how your routing needs to be configured.

Thanks for the respoonse guys. The problem we were running into was one of the network cards was going and died today. Now there is a new one in there and it is working just fine. We just now have to figure out why our server will peak out at certain times at 100% and loose connections.

Yes we still have spud harvest but who knows how long that will last. We have one network in our district. We do not share with the other districts in the area.

We run on a 172.16.0.0 network with 255.255.0.0. Just the begining of the year crap that normally happens.

If you guys have run into your servers peaking out like that let me know. Would love to nail it in the but. This happens once in a while on it and it is frustrating.

Thanks for your help...
