We have a several labs we are putting out. The issue we are going to be faced with is that we use Novell as well as win2k on our network and are planning the switch to eliminate Novell. But it is not going to happen today.

We have hundreds of users in a lab situation that sign on with their username to our win98 boxes with Novell and they
are mapped to their home directory to save work. We would like to create (using MS Netware Client) at least a way to navigate to their home directory but when using a generic lab logon they aren't able to see their home or navigate to it. They only see the lab folder when logging on as "labuser".

The novell client seems to slow the CPU's down and our desire is not to put it on if we can keep from it. It is improbable for us to create every user on every win2k box to they can map to their home directory.

Most of those users are not set up on our PDC nor do they have home dir on our win2k box. If we must put the client on we will need to turn off the box that asks you to set your pword to match on next log on and have them auto log onto the win2k machine as labuser.

Any help to escape the novell client resourse hog please let me know... I hope I've explained well enough.
