Does anyone know where to acquire a Novell Client for Linux? I am currently trying to get to work, but would like to know if Novell has an official Linux client.

thanks

I have looked as well, and as far as I can tell Novell has no official client for Linux. I have got some limited functionality out of the Novel Client for linux ver 0.7.4 written by Ken Conrad.

There used to be an old client when Novell owned Unixware that could have been recompiled on Linux to work. But, I doubt anyone would have it now - SCO owns Unixware. If you can be patient, Novell has acquired SUSE Linux and I'm sure they'll do something to connect them.

OK, you need the IPX libraries and NCP libraries usually as source on the CDs. Even in a pure IP environment you still need the libraries. Try there is a novell client on here, again limited functionality at the moment. Hope this helps. I can't remember order for install as been a long time since putting client on, I'm sure it flags ups dependencies.

Looking at SuSE 9.0 for our desktops, any rumors as to a Novell client for linux?
