I'm running a Novell 5.0 network. There is a Foxbase application / database (pseudo-MRP). This application is located on a separate partition by itself on the main server of the tree.
I know this is very vague and it could be alot of different things, but I am trying to figure out why this application runs so slowly over the network.
It seems as though updating the database is painfully slow for every transaction.
Is there something about Novell 5.0 that could be having a problem (I've looked into locked files/concurrency already). I just want to eliminate Novell 5.0 as a possible calprit.. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
