Since I don't start MCSE school till monday, I'm going to post this question..

Is there a way to have a Win2k laptop notify me when it gets on the network?

How do you mean? From an administrative point of view or user of laptop point of view?

Admin. I have created some scripts for patches and Laptop users are the hardest to get a hold of... So I was wondering if I could have the laptop alert me as soon as it gets on the network. Without the use of a third-party app.

Interesting idea. I don't have anything personally. Sorry I could not be more help. Would like to know if there is a way to do that, could come in real handy.

Well I was poking around on Tucows on found a program call Login Watcher. I havent tried it yet but over the weekend I'm gonna test it out. I let you know how it goes.
