One of our long distance T1's went down over the weekend and we didn't know until Monday morning!
We receive pages when our G3si or Prologix calls Avaya/Denver for alarms. We also have a program that pings critical equipment and pages us if there is no response.
Can anyone tell me how they receive notifications of problems such as the one we experienced?

It sounds like the problem was this T-1 going down only registered as warnings. Most systems are set up to do major/minor alarms and then they call Denver. The only way that I know to what you are after is to turn the (change system parameters maintenance) CPE alarm notifications to warnings. This would do all the warnings like unplugged digital sets.

If you hav a spare PC you can load ASA on it and have it do a 'list measurements outage-trunk last-hour'. If any trunks are out-of-service ASA can notify you via e-mail.
