Could one of the many Unix Network jockeys out there look at these notifications on your systems and post here what the default action associated with them is?

My values have been overwritten with a call to a generic mailer script and I'm not sure how to find out the default value without doing a complete reinstallation on a spare box...:

[tt]Filesystem full - recover adv_file space
Filesystem full - waiting for adv_file space[/tt]

Thanks!

Your advanced file device has filled up. However, NW does not assign its status to full - the only action it executes are these two messages.

Use nsrstage to move save sets to another media to free up space.

OK, then it's just notification messages that are the default.

I mistakenly thought that (by default) it was launching a script that would force an immediate staging and I had overwritten that script with my email notification script that I use instead of the default mechanism.

You supplied what I needed to know... thanks!

Hi,

For the notification "Filesystem full - recover adv_file space", the action actually is to run the nsrim command to free up space from expired save sets. Action looks like this:

/usr/sbin/nsrim
