I am having a problem with quark, when I try to bring in text to a text box I get an error message stating I do not have enough memory and to try and save the doc first, I have tried to save still get this error, then I tried dumping the preferences, still get the error and then I uninstalled quark 5 and reinstalled thinking that would help, nope, I still get the same error message. I am on a 80 gb window xp pro system, there is 60 gb of open space and 700+ of memory

Just a checklist, not an answer:

Are there embedded images in the text you're bringing in (If the text import engine is trying to process a picture, it might run out of oomph.)

Are there rules, tables or graphs or other objects which might exceed the measure you're trying to pour copy into?

Are there unsupported typeface formats, or types embedded in the Word document and not installed in your system?

Some of these might be an obstruction to smooth import.

Hope this helps.

George
