Not being notified when back up completes 1

I have just installed Groupshield v.6 and Virus scan v8.0i on my servers, since then my Back up exec does not email me to tell me that the job has completed.
I have looked at the job set up and checked the notification and recreated my email there. I have also gone through the Alert Categories and made sure my email is there. But still it does not send me notification. Has anyone got a clue if there is somewhere else I need to check or what service to check if that could be the issue?
Has anyone installed these products and got the same problem?

This is because v8 of virus shield blocks port 25 outgoing to stop mass mailer viruses. You can add beserver.exe to the list of apps which can use port 25 and thus send emails. Open the vscan console and double click on access protection. Edit the first rule for mass mailer worms and add beserver.exe to the end of the list of apps. Hey presto.
