My motherboard is Asus CUSL2-C(Intel 815EP), running P3-800(133FSB) with PC133 128M. It supports up to 512M. Now I want to buy another 256M Ram.

I heard from my friends that sometimes RAMs are not compatible, although all are PC133. Sometimes, the motherboard can't detect the new one, but it is okay when the new RAM is used standalone. Therefore, they need to return and exchange from the shop.

Is it okay mixed the Single-Side with Double-Side Ram? Is it okay if the RAMs are different in CL value?

ASUS CUSL2-C User Manuals:

The biggest problems with PC133 DIMM compatibility usually deals with older chipsets that used either PC66 or PC100. As soon as PC133 became standard, as in the Intel 815 chipset, a lot of those problems went away.

I've used Micron, Kingston, Crucial and a couple generic PC133 DIMMs with that chipset and never had any problems. Now that's not to say you won't, but as long as you go with a decent brand and reputable vendor you should be OK.

Just keep in mind that if you do use DIMMs that have a different CL value, the worst CL setting will be shared by all DIMMs. Mixing double and singled sided ones could cause compatibility issues as well, though I have done it myself on few occasions without any noticeable problems.
