Not a relay anymore when will other servers know??

Hi,

Our mail server had relaying switched on, we've now restricted this.

When will other mail servers know that we are not a mail server anymore? The reason for this is that we've got some anti-virus software (interscan virus wall) that checks messages and at the moment it continually getting full with 550 relay prohibited messages.

Please help!
