Hi New Postsohl07,
This is Mike from the Norton Authorized Support Team.
It sounds like you have a corrupted installation of Norton 360. To resolve this issue, please carefully follow the steps below.
1. Make note of your current Activation Key (located on the CD holder label or My Norton Account)
1. Click on the following link to download the Norton Removal Tool:
Norton Removal Tool and instructions
2. After you run the tool, restart your computer. Log in to Windows again and run the removal tool again. Restart your computer after it is finished running the second time as well.
3. Make sure your internet connection is working properly and then reinstall Norton 360 version 2 from your CD.
NOTE: If you purchased your subscription online and do not have the installation CD, you can re-download the latest installer. Using Internet Explorer, click on the link below and then click on the "Download" button next to Norton 360.
Re-download Norton 360 installer
4. When the installation is complete, launch Norton 360, click on the "PC Security" bubble, and then select "Check for Updates.
5. After the updates are complete, run a "Comprehensive Scan" to check for infections.
Let me know if this resolves the issue with Norton 360.
Thank you,
Mike
