Alex

ps this looks very stinggy i knwo but i cant just go out and buy another copy

Hi Alex,

I have always installed the same NSW on my desktop PC as well as on my backup laptop PC without any problems. They are both registered and get all the Live Updates, etc.

Symantec have not complained. Maybe if I installed it a thousand times they would complain.

The same is the case with WinXPP.

I think these vendors are not concerned about individual users installing only one or two copies for their own purposes such as backup, etc. I think they are concerned with pirating for commercial purposes and corporations not paying for a very large number of installs.

If you are an individual user I don't think you need to worry. If you are a corporat user planning to install it on a lot of PC's you need to buy the appropriate multi-user license from them.

HTH
