Hello,
I dont know if i am in the right place with this, but the application is running on the Window 2000 platform.
I have a user who is using the Nortel VPN Client to connect to the network here and he can connect but after a few hours, the domain, certain applications and the connection become unavailable to him and stop responding.
After which he then tries to reconnect, but receives a "can not resolve host" error. When doing a ipconfig, the adapter reports a 0.0.0.0 IP address, so hes obviously lost connection to the ROUTER.
Simply because he has a router involved i ruled all out and made the router the culprit. He has another laptop at home connected to the same network and does not experience any downtime when his company laptop experience the disconnect.
the user has yet to plug directly into the cable modem (i suggested him to do so next time).
What do you think?
::.I may not know it all, but I still approach it with confidence to figure it out::.
