Is there such a command that will display disk usage and cpu cycles for our meridian pbx option 61c release 25? Also how can I do this for Meridian Mail as well? I appreciate any help with this.

Thank You!

you don't even have to log into mermail, just use the softkeys (two on the right)

I don't believe you will find a utilization specific to cpus? That is geared around planning and engineering, buffer sizes, load balancing, Nortel doc on mem mandatory mem size, ld 2 trf, card diagnosistics, ld diags.

both post are correct.. simple on the mermail but not so easy on the 61.. what's your cpu size plus number of ports and buffers is your best bet.. i can tell when my 81 is getting loaded by screen response.. the one thing that seems to help is to make sure your not running errors.. those can turn into almost a broadcast storm if left long enough

For the Meridian 1, have a look at the "Traffic Measurement" NTP under "TFS004 processor load". It has a raw numbers for various parameters as well as calculated numbers for "rated call capacity" and "maximum percentage of call capacity used during the sampled period".

that's a good post but don't carve those numbers is stone. if your running over 60 percent on that table don't assume that you can increase load by 30 percent.. the load is not flat.. ten percent more stations/trunks may add 30 percent more load. things like symposium or simple acd can skew those numbers as well as simple program errors, even if they don't cause screen errors.. the same scr key in five groups on 10 phones can require more cpu then the next 20 calls to dual mcr keys.. best bet, if your rls 3 or below, and your cpu's are over 3 years old buy faster if you can..

i've seen customers that will spend tons on server upgrades that are not even needed and run cpu's in the switch that are almost as old as 286's. then they can't understand why an they get an ini and it takes 4 minutes
