I am having a problem with M3900 series telephone soft keys. I am unable to Transfer, Foward, Conference etc.
Any Suggestions? Is thers a patch?, If so what is the patch # Desperate

First of all, is it a M3904?. Can you let us have a printout of the phone settings from LD 20 please?. The M39xx range have a number of default keys on them. Another thing is that the phons firmware may need to be changed to match the software of your Meridian.
not usually, you may need a patch if you don't have any working 3900's// check the firmware, fwvu x x x x and then check a working set, unless they match, fdli x x x x. that puts matching firmware on the set. those are ld 32 commands. you can go to 117 and schedule downloads
Thanks for the reply to all. I got an older M3904 with Rel-07, it worked. Howerever, my switch does not allow me to change the FDL in LD-97 So, I borrowed a Rel 25.15 and tried to download a lower version firmware to the M3900 phones. NOT working it showes th same version and transfer still does not work.
Any ideas?

It's like this.
When a Call is received and has to be transfered to another extension the Conf. Trans Park soft keys does NOT work, only the More... PirvRls & Charge soft keys work.
Depressing the any soft key the caller gets a clicking sound, and NO stutter tone. Call Cannot be Transfered.

Symptoms:
Unable to transfer using connect softkey.
Transfer key is not working on M3904 sets.
When the transfer fails, the softkey changes to "Held XFR".
Changes:
New install.
Cause:
Software deficiency.
Fix:
Apply patch MPLR17379.
If you can't get older release phones, you may want to try this patch on your system.
I am experiencing this problem today, seems a number of phones in the same department (same card) do not work when you click Connect to transfer - or when you hit the Park key while on hold. I unplugged the phones and plugged them back in and the extensions no longer displayed!!! So for a quick fix, I moved the tns then moved them back and the displays were there again, however the soft keys above still do not work. As this is happening with 3 so far that I have tested on the same card - could this be a card issue?
