Hi Everyone,
I have a user who has SBC DSL and using Nortel VPN V4_15. He has a Dell C610 laptop.

When he tries to put his laptop in "suspend" mode he receives the error: "device driver from "nortel ipsecshm adapter-Eacfilt mini port" device is preventing the machine from entering stand by, please close all applications, you may have to update this driver"

The funny part about this is that suspend will work until he connects to his DSL. If he connects to DSL and then disconnects (without ever launching the VPN software)he will receive this error. It would appear that for some reason the DSL software is making a call to the Eacfilt driver for some reason.....

We have uninstalled and reinstalled the VPN software and made sure that the DSL software was set to Protocol Driver rather than filter driver. We are also going to try disabling the Eacfilt driver and see if that helps.

Anyone have other ideas?

I really appreciate any help!

Anyone have any ideas?

Maybe a different modem/router driver would help.

I have a Toshiba laptop running WinXP Home, a HP external DVD burner, and a USB 2.0 PCMCIA card. Have an application that gives me a (very paraphrased) "XYZ driver is causing a suspend error" all the time. The fix for this is probably a patch or a newer driver. In my case it doesn't hurt anything, so I haven't fixed it.
