Are the packlet cards on a fiber remote ordered for single mode or multi-mode fiber or will they work on either one?

either.. if you order cable from the facepale to the rear of the switch then they have to be ordered either single or multi

Thanks for the reply. How do you determine if the cables from the front to the input-output panel are single mode or multi-mode?

by color would be the fastest.. orange is multi? check that .. it's been to long

interesting thought.... If you can plug either a single or multi in the front of the card and the card recognizes it, why can't you start multi and then switch to single along the line at a different connection point and it recognize the change.... Out of curiosity I tried it (no good)just wondering why it wouldn't see the switch but only at the card....

Thanks for the responses. I will check on the part numbers.
