Can you run E1 over NT7B74GA DTI card on a MICS 0x32 system.

Thanks!

Hello. Anyone. I really need an answer on this one today if at all possible.

I didn't know you could use E1 in North America. I picked this up on this site A2. The main differences in T1 and E1 are the operating frequency, the number of time slots, the pulse shape, the characteristic line impedance, and the signaling method. The T1 system operates at 1.544 MHz with a total of 24 time slots. The T1 pulse shape contains over and under shoot and is driven on a line impedance of 100. Finally, digital messages to signal on and off hook or other conditions are sent using robbed bit signaling. The E1 system operates at 2.048 MHz with a total of 32 time slots. The E1 pulse shape is a perfectly rectangular pulse shape and is driven on a line impedance of 120 or 75. Finally, digital messages to signal on and off hook or other conditions are sent using channel associated signaling.
Kind of makes it sound like their two different animals.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than to have a frontal lobotomy

DTI is only for a T1, you'll require an R2MFC card to connect to an E1 trunk

Hello again Nortel gurus. Another U.S. to Mexico question:On a Nortel system. Doing point to point T1 one system in the USA other in Mexico what is the best frequency Frame Relay, Clear Channel, or BPN? Those are the 3 frequency's offer by Telmex in Mexico.

Thanks!

It shouldnt matter ...
anytype of line will get terminated on a Router/ Mux of some kind and the output should be a T1, which will go into the Norstar DTI

BTW what is a BPN?
