I'm connecting to a Modular DR5 with N*Mgr 3.7 on a Win XP pc. I start an on-line session, go to Generate Reports, but when I try to print a report to a file, or the printer, I get an error message "Reports session aborted".

It doesn't matter which type of report I select, I get the same error. Does anyone have any idea what I can try to generate a report? As it is, I'm starting to write everything manually into a programming record. Please Help...Thanks!

The system is an Modular 8x24 w/DR5. The only way to connect through Windows XP is with Norstar Manager R3.7. Anybody else???

LL,
Thanks for all that info, but you are missing the point. Nortel came out with Norstar Manager 3.7 because earlier versions do not work on Windows XP.
My question was not which version of N*Mgr to use, but how to get around the error message when trying to print a report. Any thoughts???

Try N*Mgr 3.5. I use it on my 8x24's DR5 with no problem and I have Win XP on my laptop. I downloaded it from Nortel's website.

Nightwolf - Thank you, I DL'd NM3.5 & was able to log into my customer's system. But I'm having another problem now. I got as far in the process as where to save the file to, but I got booted out of the program & disconnected.

Do I need to save the file to the default directory (c:\, or can I choose another? I also tried printing the reports, but got the kicked out again. I'm connecting at 19200, which works fine to view the info.

I can't find any troubleshooting info about getting kicked off. Any suggestions?

some of the guy out there have an old laptop"win98" just for the older vesion of NRU..if its not supported it will not work the way you want

I think I narrowed the problem down to modem init string. The Manager default value (&FQ0V1&C1&D2S7=85&S0) gives me an error message about the modem string. So I changed it to the Remote Tools default string (&FEQ0X4V1&D2&C1S7=85), which allows me to log on, but I think there's something wrong here that's causing me to get booted off.
