Has anyone had large spreadsheets in Excel that cause a small rectangle of the display to not update correctly?

It's usually a different size on different machines, but always the same size and position on a given machine.

I'm running Excel2000 on XP and 2000. Files that have this problem are usually arounf 20-30MB in size.

Make sure the PCs are cleaned up:

IMHO, your file sizes are too big for everyday use, really. Likely, they could use some cleanup:

If you're saving them down to lesser versions, try to stop doing that. If you're saving them to "multi-versions", don't do that either. Save them as plain old Microsoft Excel worksheets. Make sure the users all have that option chosen under Tools-Options-Transition tab.

After you clean them up (see especially bulleted item 3--I would try this on several of them to make sure it's not an issue throughout), try saving them to a new name.

I hope one or all of these helps...
