I have a Definity G3I v11. One of my users has a non-DID # that is displaying as a DID when he calls out of the facility on a LD trunk group. This is causing a lot of problems for the local resident who has that DID!

When he makes a local call his caller ID is the BTN of our location. How can I correct this? The only luck I have had was to to restrict his outgoing caller ID completely by cpn-blck. He'd rather not have "restricted" show up because he's in tech support and needs all OB calls to go through.

Thanks for the help!

Okay, so he makes LD call and it displays the non-DID info which is the same number as a local resident, he makes local call and it displays BTN?..

What information do you want to show?..

You can "change isdn public-unknown-numbering" to change the outbound caller id to show whatever it is that you would like the far end to see..i.e you could change to so that the extension shows BTN on LD calls aswell.

I have this same ongoing problem, in pub unknown numbering i have our generic local number that way when the caller calls back they go to the main attendant. under ex i put the agents extension ( i have 2 entries on for each trunk) Im not sure its necessary but thats how it is. under cpn I have 123-456-7890 (our number) then cpn 10, works perfectly.

Thank you offda and klees. I will try this and will post back to the thread shortly.

Just for whips and giggles try setting this to N :

Hey guys. That seemed to work. I really appreciate your help. Have a good one.

Hi,
I have a very similar problem in that I want to send a non-geo number out instead of the real DID on a per-station basis. i.e. real DID number 1234-5678 xxxx replaced with 0800 123 xxxx
I know you guys in the US can do this, but I'm told that it's not possible in the UK to send a number which is not on the ISDN bearer. Any ideas anyone?
