I have a KIRK deployment basestation and wonder if someone has a manual for it or knows how I can register a DECT phone to it.

I did go there but nothing on the older kirk stuff.

Are we talking INDeX early IPO old with serial interface?

No, it is a old version base station with a audio jack, a line connection and a button for registration of handsets.
see here

Seems like it could be the old INDeX DECT, like this ?

Subscribing to the Survey Base Station Up to eight handsets can be subscribed to the Survey Base Station. All these handset can display the RSSI signal quality simultaneously but only one can receive the audio input at any time.

1. Connect the Survey Base Station connected to its power supply and switch on.
2. Turn the DH1 handset on.
3. Use the following step to assign it a number between 1 and 8. Dial *99972*x where x is the number between 1 and 8. Then press ENTER.
4. Press MENU and then ENTER. Press the > key until SUBSCRIBE appears, then press ENTER.
5. Press > until CREATE appears, then press ENTER.
6. The handset is now searching for a system to which it can subscribe. Press and hold the subscribe button on the Survey Base Station for three seconds. The Survey Base Station will then stay in subscribe mode for one minute.
7. Use the < and > buttons to display the ID numbers of available DECT systems found by the handset. Look for the ID number of the Survey Base Station (printed on the back of the Survey Base Station) and then press ENTER.
8. Use the < and > to select which system you want the Survey Base Station assigned and then press ENTER. 9. At the AC: prompt enter 12345678 and press ENTER.
