quick background - 2 days ago I took over a network and part of that network is an Avaya IP phone system.

Yesterday, all the phones where going straight to voicemail because of a holiday-table schedule that was setup for 2010. I modified the holiday-table dates to reflect 2011 and thus fixed the problem.

Now today, no voicemail is working at all. It's just silent and then you get the busy signal.From what I can see the Avaya system has 2 G700's and 1 AudioCodes Mediant 1000. I can see that one of the windows servers is set to the file server and apparently unified messaging with Exchange 2007 is in place.

Any ideas on where to start?

Can you log into the Avaya at all? If you can get into the Avaya ASA program (you will need user name and password) type in "list trace station xxxx"

xxxx = an Ext number.

Then call that number and post what the trace shows.

You should probably get your Avaya Business Partner or Avaya directly involved to go over the voicemail system with you (assuming it is Modular Messaging).

If it is Exchange 2007's Unified Messaging role (instead of Avaya's MM) then you should probably find a MS partner to go over it with you.
