No Voice Audio on phone calls

New one to me... Our office in CA calls us here in Boston and we can only here the audio on the 4th or 5th call. (No audio to or from) The call leaves the switch in CA and terminates here in Boston every time. I have a call in with telco but of course they are saying it's the equipment. Has anyone out there ever experienced this before. help would be greatly appreciated.

this only happens to and from the two systems? do you have a tie or are you using the pstn? something unique to just that call is down in one of the switches. i almost have to agree with telco, that problem would not be so unique if you were on ip trunks... other users calling in on the same trunks get through.. so that almost rules out the inbound on your end.. if calif has a pri that they use just to call boston (strange) then i would go west
