No Video in render, preview, or export!! Help!

This is really frustrating me, I had Premiere 6.0 installed and was having this problem. When I render anything, preview anything or try to export the video is gone. Audio is loud and clear, just no video. So I uninstalled and upgraded to 6.5....same freaking problem! I've upgraded the DIVX codecs, diretx drivers just for the heck of it and video drivers. I don't understand what is going on. I've searched this site many times and see that alot of people have had this problem, but never seem to see a resolution, atleast not one that was noted in the forums.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated. I've got my whole video almost done and now I just can't compile it!

OK, a little more info.

System Info.
Windows XP
Athalon XP 1.7 ghz
NVidia GeForce 64mb MX/MX 400
512mb Memory
PLENTY of hard drive space

Adobe Premiere 6.0 & 6.5

well just in case anyone DOES actually read this post. I tried, for the hell of it, importing a .mov file then exporting it to .avi format and it worked, both video and audio. So I tried .mpg format and it worked again. So I don't know what's going on, it must be something with the .avi format that I'm importing.

So all I had to do was convert all my .avi's to .mpg format and I was good to go. I went ahead and compiled the entire project and it came out nice, although over a GIG in size! but atleast it is working now. Guess I need to find a way to compress it now though.
For some reason I'm not able to use the DiVX codec to encode, that would probably bring the size down a bit, right?
