I'm having an issue where I boot into WindowsXP. It normally has my users on the right side, but now it shows nothing. Just "To begin, click your user name", but there are no usernames. HELP!

. Hit F8 early and often, select 'Last Known Good Configuration' and use that to start.

If you have System Restore enabled, use a restore point. It is found under Start, All programs, Accesories, System Tools.

Ive tried 'Last Known Good' and still didn't work. How can I get into System Restore if I can't log into the machine?

With Windows XP Professional, you can hit ctrl-alt-del twice at the logon screen to get a different logon screen in which you can manually type in the user name and password. Use this to log in as 'administrator' and access system restore, user manager, etc.

If you are using Windows XP Home, this option is not available unless you boot to 'safe mode'.

My memory is not as good as it should be, and neither is my memory.

I have forgotten more than I can remember

Ctrl+Alt+Del (twice) should bring up the Classic Login Screen.

Does Safe Mode allow any Access?

I fear a registry repair is required here. I suspect a corruption in the SAM file.

Try either of these articles, as they discuss the same process. The second link is easier to read and understand. You could try only the aspects that discuss the "Sam" file and restrict yourself to the "Sam" only:
