No unique Index found for referenced field of primary table

i am getting this error when i m trying to connect a field of consumable table which is primary key named consumable_name to another table named conumable_loan, then i get this error.
in both the tables i have the same name.
ny help is appreciated.

It is telling you that the field in your primary table needs to be indexed. Do this in design mode for the table. This implies that the fields must contain data. ----------------------
