No sound when task bar volume control moved

I previously had a sound when I move the volume control.<br><br>It let me know what the voulme level was.<br><br>For some reason I don't have that anymore.<br><br>win98 SE

Sorry I didn't say so..&nbsp;&nbsp;I do have normal sound for all expected activities.<br><br>My volume level is normal.<br><br>Have I installed anything - I am frequently installing upgrades or something.<br><br>I do not use the volume control very often, so I have no idea how log it hasn't had the sound associated with changing it.<br><br>

Paul,<br><br>Just tried deinstalling and then reinstalling multimedia.<br><br>No luck - same problem!

PROBLEM FIXED

Quite simple - It uses the default sound and no default sound was set.

The exactly problem just happened on my PC (Win98SE). How and where can I setup default sound? Thanks!

BTW I already checked Control panel/sounds and there is no
&quot;Default Sound&quot; event under the Windows section of sounds properties.
