I have created an excel template that has a menu option to open another template and have one user out of about 50 getting an error. The wierd thing is she can be doing nothing but staring at the screen and get this error. I have had desktop look at her computer and she is updated with all the updates and has no other PC issues. When she gets the fatal error excel shuts down complety and she looses everything. The error is:
"No RETURN() or HALT() function found on macro sheet"

We are running Microsoft Excel 97 SR-2. If you need more info or anything let me know.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!!!!!

Is it always the same user that gets the error? If so, are the templates stored on a shared drive, or is she working with her own copies? If the latter, I'd suspect that one of the templates is corrupted, and simply replace them with fresh copies.

Also (assuming it's a single user with the problem), have you checked her pc for add-ins that the other pc's don't have? Maybe the problem is not in the template, but in a poorly written add-in.

It was an add-in that was the problem. She had the AutoSave add-in on. When we turned it off she no longer has that problem.

Thanks for all the help!!!
