No Pogo since I upgraded to SP1

I know that this is a small matter, but since I updated XP Pro with Service Pack 1, now I cannot get into the games at Pogo.com. I think they are java based, as is Yahoo. I don't have any problems with Yahoo's site. Anyone got any ideas what I can change to get back to Pogo?

Update your java. The bottom of the page linked here has a direct download site from Microsoft:

I think Sp1 would have upgraded the microsoft vm. you can go to tools, internet options and then choose advanced and uncheck the box for jit compliler in microsoft vm and restart, this might help, or maybe go to Sun and download there java vm? I've had probs in pogo too!

The VM was removed from SP1 a while ago, and what was released in SP1 when it contained it has been updated twice since.

The Jit issue mentioned by pchenegs is an interesting one, and well worth a try if you have a P4, although it is more likely your machine would error out rather than not be able to run the asp's on the site.

Adding the Sun release may help as pechenegs stated. A look at various approaches to updating/obtaining both Microsoft and Sun VM may find this site useful:
