No of maxdatafiles in Oracle 8.x for 8K block size

Please let me know maximum no datafiles will be allowed in Oracle 8 incase of 8K block size.I shall appreciate your answer.<br><br>satish

Hi Satish<br><br>As Mike told block size noway concern with No of datafiles.<br>Maximum no of datafiles depends on your OS. Whenever you create database you have to mention the Maximum datafiles in your control file. In WinNT it allows 1024 files.You Init.ora parameter shouldn't exceed more than control parameter.
