Hi All, Running 2000 Advanced Server and a mix of W2K & XP Clients. I am getting the following random messages on clients. Regardless of if they are logging on or already in the middle of something, they go to access a mapped network drive and get an error message that says there are currently no log on servers available to handle the request.

I tracked down some MS documentation on it but I still at a loss as whats happening here (or more, why) we are talking 3 machines out of 55+ doing this, and then not always the same machine.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the machines are not logging on to the domain controller. The machines are probably logging on under cached credentials to the DC.

You need to join them to a workgroup and restart and then rejoin them to the DC, restart. See MS KB article 306927.

This procedure creates new user profiles on the clients. Remember to copy old user profile to new user profile and check application program paths (especially Outlook) to be sure they are pointing to new user profile and not old user profile.
