No Items Found in ODBC connection

I'm trying to get a new user set up with Crystal 8.5. He has a valid user account for connecting to DB2 as do I. I can run pre-existing reports no problem, but if I want to create a new report from scratch or add a new table to an existing report, the odbc connection to db2 shows 'No items found' It does this even under my account so I don't think its permissions related. Under Options, we have Tables, Views checked to display...nothing else.

Any thoughts? Is there a setting off locally? or maybe the driver for the db2 connect is problematic?

It sounds like it's permissions related or the DB2 connectivity is wrong.
