No Inbound on new ISDN-PRI

Outbound calls work fine. Inbound gets a fast busy. Verizon couldn't put a protocol analyzer on it to test it at the moment. List trace tac does not show any activity on the span. Protocol and set up has been verified.

Does anyone have a good educated guess as to why incoming may be getting a fast busy and no evidence on a trunk group trace? I don't think they're making it to my switch, they think I'm using the wrong protocol. DS-1's are setup with protocol "b" for NI-2.

Have you confirmed with the carrier that the moved your DID or TFN over to the new PRI? A provision tech should be able to confirm what you DS-1 setup should be to match there equipment. But I would be asking the carrier to check where your DID are going to.

Right now the trunks only have the one "dummy" DID number. We won't port the pool of real DID's until this is working.

Verizon asked us to setup for NI-2, which is protocol "b". Protocol "a" is AT&T Custom protocol.

I pasted some of my translations here and have "X'd" out the phone number for privacy reasons in the ICHT form.

When I set up a trace on the tac, I don't see anything hit the trunk group as they say they're getting waived off.

Is there a better way to see the D-Channel negotiation? MST trace, maybe?

Switched it from cbc to tie after the first tests failed. They didn't have an answer for me on service type.

I'll try public-ntwrk and let you know.

I agree with the "cbc' or "public-ntwrk", in most cases "public-ntwrk". Also verify they are sending the 10 digits. You could change the PBX to recieve 4 with no deleting of digits.

I've tried all three service types with the carrier. None of them had any net effect. They carrier tech I was working with was having difficulties with his tracing tools and couldn't access the information he needed to tell me why it's failing. Until he gets that tool working, I'm taking shots in the dark.

Thanks, they said they were sending 10. I also set it up for 7 and 4, just in case. Can't take the last four of that particular DID number because it doesn't fit with the dial plan. 3's are already in use for something else.

They were routing it someplace else in the network and not hitting my switch.
