I am reposting this question as I made the mastake writing a very un-descriptive subject heading on my previous post - I apoligise if this causes offence

Here is a wierd and very annoying problem:

I have two copys of WinXP setup as a dual boot on my computer (there is a very good reason for this setup) and I use Windows Explorier all the time.

On the secondary install of XP in the lefthand pane of Windows explorier there are no icons, nothing except the check boxes to select the drives is this normal or is there a setting somewhere that I dont know about to bring them back?

This is how I have me system set up:
SATA RAID0 array partitioned as two drives c: and d:
IDE HD 1 partitioned as two drives e: and f:

As the BIOS on my comp see's IDE 1 (C:\) as the priority drive it has the first install of XP on it. I have a harware profile for XP on this drive that when booted to this version of XP disables the SATA controller and hides the array. This system I use as an office and internet only system, this protects my array.

The second version of XP is installed on the SATA HD's (E:\) and I have a hardware profile that disables the IDE HD for this install. This system I use as a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). It is on this system that windows explorier does not have icons in its left hand pane?

Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted as this is worrying me a little.

Thank you in advance.
