My system Pentium Dual Core with Windows XP Prof. was working fine. But when I started it yesterday it gave no display. The DVD drive light remains blinking.
Then I removed the RAM cleaned it and refitted but there was not benefit. Can someone suggest me a solution?
Thanks,

Why did you clean your ram? Did someone suggest for you to do this? If so clip them around the head for me please.

When you start up your pc, do you see anything on your screen?

Check the cables at the back of the PC and monitor (again, if you have already done this). Boot the pc up.

If it still doesn't work:
Unplug your dvd drive (IDE and power cable), boot up your computer. If it works you know that the DVD is broken and needs replacing.

Do you hear a series of beeps when you start up the computer?
