Hello!

The situation:

IPO 500v2 with R7 (and R5). Users' calls must be logged and priced, users can set if a call is private or business call. Users must authorize themselves with 4 digit codes.

So two short codes are created: 0XXXX# and 8XXXX#, both TN: . and with action Set Authorization Code
Authorization Codes are enabled and created, 2 for each user: example 01234 and 81234, both set for User1.
This part works fine, after dialing the code, users get a dialing tone, where they can dial the number they wish to call, auth code is in the SMDR, the call processing software can separate private and business calls by the leading 0 or 8 of the PIN codes.
(Users are set to Force Authorization Code in their Telephony settings)

Extension numbering is from 180 to 240

There are external call numbers here like 202123 and so on, there is shortcode for them: 2XXXXX which works fine, if the user doesn't use Force Authoriztaion Code, internal and external numbers doesn't get mixed.

The problem is, after dialing 01234#, user is authenticated, but if dialing 202123 for example, the internal extension 202 gets dialed immediately, no matter what is set in dial delay time or dial delay count.

Any solution or idea maybe? (other then change extension number, which is not possible)

Thank you in advance!

You need to use different codes, extn numbers will always match before shortcodes. (unless you push it straight to ARS after a prefix and use a zero dial delay count)

Okay. But it works if the "Set Authorization Code" shortcode is not used: dialing 202123 will call this number, not the extension 202.
Even if i set the line group of the set auth short code to the ARS, it will just dial the extension immediately..

I'm looking forward to see a better solution for PIN codes and private/business call separation, which is easy to use for users and, the most important, on analog phones.

Then I guess the introduction of the code makes the system go to an immediate match on subsequent dialled digits, but this can't be changed unfortunately. Have you tried playing with Acoount codes as opposed to auth codes? :)
