No Device Connect Sound 1

Running XP Pro on a high spec machine. The sound for "Device Connect" no longer works when plugging in my USB Flash Drive etc, although I can access the sound from within Control Panel\Sounds and audio. All other sounds work. Not so important, but it annoys me.
Any tips will be much appreciated.
