Hello to all,
I have a computer Dell (Optiple GX620) with Windows XP SP1 for 64 bit systems. The network card doesn't work at all only in Safe Mode. I have tried uninstalling the card, reinstalling the drivers, etc. Even Dell came to change the card (in fact it replaced the whole board because it's an built-in card) and it did not work. I tried to troubleshooting using the article Q316434 "How to perform advanced clean-boot troubleshooting in Windows XP" and it only found two unsigned drivers.
I have no ideas left... Does anybody has encountered a similar issue? If you do, can you please illuminate my path?
Thanks in advance for any input,
Alex

You mean it works if you start safe mode with networking?

I take it Dell have provided you with 64 bit drivers for the network card?

Is there a spare slot for a PCI network card?

Yes, update to SP2 and see if that helps.

You might also consider a new NIC that the manufacturer specifically tout's as compatible with 64bit O/S installs.

Good luck,
