I have a strange problem. SQL-server is up and running.
For some reason i can not connect to SQL-server anymore.
I can connect to it via remote control software but not via the EnterpriseManager.
What do you mean by you can't connect via EM? Did you 'register' the server in Enterprise Manager? Have there been any changes to the SQL Server (SA password change, IP or name change, type of authentication used)?
Are you using Enterprise Manager on the same machine as SQL Server is installed or from a client machine?
We had a problem with the powersupply caused by a fire.
When restarted the server the database had to repair itself.
After that we could't connect or register the database remotly via EM. We couldn't either connect via ODBC.
But after I restarted the server once again the problem was resolved.
