In my cf administrator mail logs, all entries have that error message, "No connection to mail server". I since changed the mail server in cf administrator to one that I know works. However, since I've changed the mail server it looks like coldfusion is still trying to send emails through the old mail server. When I open up the mail log files, they specify x-cf-server: as the old server, even though the new server is saved in cf administrator.

Is it somehow caching the old server? Do I need to reboot my webserver? I'd rather not since it's a live production server.

Thanks!

Code within a CF template will overrule the options within the administrator, so if there is a cfmail tag with the server attribute defined it will use the values defined within the tag and not within the administrator

Have a look at all of your cfmail tags to see if there are server attributes defined

Hope this helps!

Thanks Tony, I had actually already gone through all 3000+ pages of the site and removed any reference to the mail server, so all pages would just use the one set up in administrator.

I actually solved this problem by restarting all CF related services on the server.

Thanks.
